Temade s.r.l. is located in Milan, Italy, and within a 100 mile radius has contact with over 60% of Italy's most modern manufacturing plants.   Temade has specialized in scheduling, and now in collaboration with JobTime System, now integrates their own visual front end to our own JobTime schedule engine, thereby creating our latest new product line, Visual JobTime.   

Temade is already successfully implementing Visual JobTime in a number of Italian companies.   They plan to expand the scope of their product to include ERP functionality next year.

Accpac/SBT has been publishing quality software for business applications since 1980. Products include basic accounting for small business, LAN-based accounting for medium-sized businesses, and enterprise-level client/server software. Accpac/SBT has more than 100,000 programs installed in 70 countries.

Accpac/SBT is a prominent accounting system which integrates with TIW WorkShop software, and other manufacturing software products. In fact one of founders of JobTime Systems, Inc. was Employee Number 4 of SBT, and his sales work gave the founder of SBT the impetus to eventually move from selling Apple Computers in business applications, to selling accounting software altogether.  JobTime has created several automatic interfaces of it's scheduling to SBT based accounting and manufacturing systems.

Since 1988, SHAI has been the principal scheduling vendor to NASA for the Space Shuttle.  All major operations regarding shuttle launches, including preparation activities, are now scheduled with software supplied by SHAI.  An additional application SHAI has supplied to NASA involves scheduling detailed daily activities on the proposed space station, subject to unique constraints in that environment such as power load and gravity balance.  SHAI's additional applications of "expert knowledge" software relate to data mining technology and intelligent computer based tutoring and training systems.   SHAI's contracts are typically with government clients.

One of the challenging areas of scheduling in manufacturing is the tradeoff between work-center specific  scheduling rules versus plant-consistent product sequencing. Today's competitive pressures on cycle-time reduction place emphasis on smoother and more consistent flow through the shop, which is better scheduled by plant-uniform sequencing methods.  On the other hand, technology growth in areas such as semiconductor production places high pressure on work-center optimization, in order to increase product yields. Of special interest are methods that allow a production control supervisor to independently build scheduling constraints that reflect local conditions, without ongoing software customization.
